Corvess was founded by Sam Cheal, a dedicated parrot guardian and later a rescuer through Newcastle & Hunter Valley Bird Rescue. Years of learning about birds, and working closely with avian veterinarians, revealed just how unsafe many conventional candles are for animals with delicate respiratory systems. This includes all exotic pets, even common. Frankly, normal candles aren’t suitable for human beings, either.

Inspired by years of working alongside parrots and exotic animal professionals, Corvess was created to offer something rare: pet-friendly candles that honour the presence of animals in our homes. Crafted with expert guidance to be as pet-considerate as possible, every blend avoids common irritants like paraffin, phthalates, mutagens, toxins, carcinogens, phenols and harsh synthetic dyes—making them gentler not just for parrots, but for all other exotic pets, cats, dogs, and the humans who share space with them.
